Regular formula: While Breastfeeding provides the best nutrition for the first 6 months, there may be many reasons why a mother may choose formula. (HIV, breast problems, medications). If this is the case, the top 4 best selling formulas: NAN, Novalac, S26 and Similac can all be used successfully. Try transitioning slowly by adding 1 oz after every breastfeeding, then work up to 2 oz over 2-3 weeks.
