Abd mri, egd, colonoscopy, pelvic us, cardiac, all normal. intermittent crippling epigastrc pain. no gallbladder, no stones left, ducts fine. i need a dr house. sent home with bottle of dilaudid and i guess now exploratory surgery. help! please!

Epigastric pain: You still need Dr House as such cases are hard to diagnose. If the cholecystectomy preceded you pain, or pain has not changed much following surgery your symptoms would fit the spectrum of postcholecystectomy syndrome, that includes functional dyspepsia among others. Otherwise poorly understood, goal going forward would be to find meds that work reliably for the pain, other than opiates
