A member asked:

Intermittent severe epigastric pain. egd, abd mri normal. gall bladder removed in 06. please what to do next? dr cant figure it out. and im suffering. even had cardio work up. normal. the pain is crippling in center and moves to the right.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Epigastric pain: I assume pancreatic pathology has been ruled out by the gastroenterologist. Even though your gall bladder has been removed, there could be stones in the common bile duct. Have these been ruled out? Other causes of recurrent epigastric pain r pylorospasms which involve the outlet of the stomach, intestinal adhesions or incisional hernia that may not be readily apparent.
