See a dermatologist: Acne at 35 indicates hormonal imbalances. Diets high in simple carbs/sugars can contribute, as can weight gain. Wash your face no more than twice a day, use a mild soap. apply acne treatments only to problem spots, not your whole face. A dermatologist may prescribe spironolactone or a low dose antibiotic. Avoid picking at/squeezing pimples and maintain good hygiene incl. washing pillowcases/towels
