Face swelling: Sudden facial swelling could be an early sign of a serious allergic reaction. Throat swelling and breathing difficulty are serious sequelae .If you have an antihistamine medication on hand, take it and proceed to the hospital emergency room where prompt evaluation and treatment are available. Preferably have someone drive you there.
