I adopted my daughter and she has an irregular period for the last seven years, since she got her first. in addition, i am wondering if the gynecologist will perform like an internal exam because i have no biological family medical history for her. ?

Irregular periods: Irregular periods are not uncommon. As you have assumed, they are in fact genetically influenced. if your daughter is not having any other problems and is not sexually active, then an internal exam is unnecessary. If your daughter wants to use oral contraceptives, they will regulate her menstrual cycle. Imaging studies are typically done for women who are unable to get pregnant.
