A member asked:

My daughter started her period at 9 years old, she is 14 now but over the last 2 years she has been having 2-4 period a month. what should i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Have her evaluated: This is the type of pattern a visit to an obgyn can sort out. Sometimes they need a low dose pill to pace their system for a while to get it back on track. Much of the evaluation can be done with ultrasound and imaging so she doesn't need to freak out about a full exam, though they may need to if initial workup requires the added info.
