If you're still coughing a bit after going to protests the past week, how do you know if you have left over smoke and tear gas effects or if you're coming down with covid-19?

Coughing: Although the effects of tear gas are usually brief, if there is heavy exposure coughing can be a residual side effect. Since COVID 19 can present with few to no symptoms- it may be difficult to ferret out the two without COVID 19 testing. It may have 2 to 14 days for disease to become apparent after COVID 19 exposure.

Agree with Dr. F: If your cough lasts more than two weeks, you ought to see a doctor. Wish you good health!
