Back injury: Back injuries can be serious and get progressively worse. You should see a DR so they can perform a thorough physical exam and treat anything serious. Fractures and dislocations of the bony vertebrae, especially compression fractures can have mild intermittent pain, but can worsen over time or impinge on nerves and cause numbness and weakness.
