A member asked:

Could covid be spread getting iced coffee at a drive through dunkin donuts if the person taking care of you is infected?

Sure: COVID-19 can be spread by any infected person. That is why everyone in the US needs to have good sick-leave benefits, no matter where they work and no matter how many hours a week they work. Having solid job security allows workers to stay home and self-quarantine when they have symptoms. If we were that kind of country, then we would only have to worry about infected workers who have no symptoms.

Yes: That is possible. However, my hope is that the person serving you at Dunkin Donuts is wearing a mask and frequently washes his/her hands. I looked on line to see if this restaurantnt tests it's employees but could not find that information. However, there were reports of at least one of those restaurants in this area with COVID positive staff.
