A member asked:

Pain in upper left back with nausea?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Left upper back: Kidney pain is often associated with nausea. This pain would occur below the scapula or shoulder blade. Pain from other causes can also cause nausea. Nerve pain is often an early sign of shingles as the rash can erupt after a week of the ache. Lung pain is often affected by a deep breath and an accompanying cough is often present. See your MD as needed.
