Kidney Stone?: Left sided flank and back pain that is intense, associated with nausea and comes and goes can be a sign of a kidney stone. If you have blood in your urine or dark urine this is a likely cause. See your family doctor to confirm and rule out infection which could also cause this. If the pain in becoming unbearable or you are having fevers with this, go to the emergency room.
