Fasting: Fasting for long periods can result in a variety of physical problems. If your intake has been only water, your body is starved of vital nutrients, especially vitamins/minerals/electrolytes that control muscles (the heart) and many other bodily functions. Even partial fasting can cause electrolyte imbalances. Try drinking an electrolyte solution over the next 24 hours. Restart food intake slowly.
