Hi i have a 6 week old baby who just swallowed some shampoo. the bottle looks the same as his x gel bottle and i gave the shampoo to him by mistake. he ingested about half a teaspoon. the brand is pure beginnings baby wash & shampoo. will he be ok?

Yes-no worries: Pure beginnings shampoo contains an ultra mild surfactant, boabab oil, lavendar oil and rose geranium oil. None of these ingredients are toxic and can be ingested safely. Your baby may be a little more fussy, may have excess gas or discoloration of his stool, but it should have no lasting effect on him. Consider separating non food and food items to prevent future problems
