IUD: pain/bldg. ?: Any IUD including Mirena, even if placed correctly can be pushed into the narrow cervical canal from contractions of the uterine muscle. This can cause bleeding and pain in the areas described. See your gyn provider for an exam and possible removal of the IUD, as well as a serum HCG test to make sure you are not pregnant (birth control with an IUD in this case is not always reliable).
