Hi, ive had an operation on my head, and flaky yellow has started forming around the scar in my hair. i have no idea what it is or what to do about it. it doesn't itch or burn.

Excess sebum: I am assuming that you have yet to wash your scalp normally since the scar is healing. this flaky, yellow substance is normal sebum which can accumulate when the scalp is not being cleansed. It is a skin protectant and does not cause any problems. It will wash away once you resume normal scalp care. See your Dr for warmpth and spreading redness at the wound site, as well as fever.
