By accident back of my hand was hit hard, in severe pain about 1hour. still in pain but not as bad. can move fingers and make a fist but when i try to lift index finger pain travels where it was hit. closer to wrist. broken or tendon problem?

Can't say: An xray would help to answer that question (at least in showing if there was a fracture).
