A member asked:

32 yr old male, i have a history of benign pac's. they seem to be happening every time i eat here lately, no matter what i eat. what could be causing this? these things drive me crazy

A doctor has provided 1 answer

PAC's: Premature beats can definitely occur after meals and may have something to do with stomach distension and interaction with the vagus nerve. Of course foods or beverages that contain stimulants could produce atrial irritability. If you're very often symptomatic from the premature beats, beta blocker medication can suppress them. Discuss this with your MD or cardiologist.
