Genital HPV: Your HPV could be in the pubic area, but not likely. It probably doesn't matter anyway. HPV DNA under fingernails is common with genital HPV, but DNA doesn't necessarily mean live, transmissible virus. HPV is rarely transmitted elsewhere on the body (genital types of HPV rarely cause problems of the face, moth, eyes, etc). Also not transmitted to sex partners by fingering or hand-genital contact.
