Breathing difficulty: Though the breathing difficulty may have other causes such as reflux, asthma , mild COPD, psycogenic-missing smoking, given the current COVID-19 crisis I would get screened for COVID-19 as people decompensate rather quickly. You should also be assessed for your breathing difficulty as well may need inhaler or have other infection which needs medication or reflux ( try famotidine).. F/U w/ MD

Problems breathing : Sound like you should see a doctor urgently. Stopping smoking can cause temporary excess sputum and shortness of breath (SOB) as the lung clears out. I have seen young people with anxiety-related shortness of breath recently during this pandemic . COVID 19 can cause SOB. SOB can be from many other causes, allergies, other viruses, clots, heart problems, asthma.

Uncertain: A person who is infected with COVID -19 virus may have no symptoms or only one symptom. Your breathing trouble could be related to previously paralyszed cilia moving again and bringing up mucus and "junk" from your airways. There really isn't a way to know without testing.
