I can do 120-155bpm intense training and have no issues or palpitations. and jogging is fine. but why after a night of heavy alcohol do i get a 1-2hr 160-190bpm svt event? this all started 2 years ago. reason for this?

See below: It is likely that excessive alcohol is the cause of the SVT - the most common is atrial fibrillation - you do not say whether or not your pulse is regular. Atrial fibrillation is irregularly, irregular, and is more concerning since it is a stroke risk - regular pulse in SVT is probably tolerated in someone your age - you should reduce your alcohol intake -as excessive alcohol can damage your heart

Not certain but it seems to me a trial of no alcohol is indicated to see.
