Can alcohol bring on an episode of svt?

ABSOLUTELY!: Alcohol can be directly toxic to the heart in sufficient quantities. Excessive drinking can cause any number of cardiac problems including svt. *i agree. In addition alcohol can lead to dehydration and electrolyte abnormalities - both of which can also contribute to arrhythmias.*.

Yes: Svt from alcohol is so common in fact, that the binge drinking that surrounds lots of holidays has resulted in calling it "holiday heart." it also can bring on other arrhythmias, particularly atrial fibrillation.
