A 57-year-old female asked:

Very infrequently when im eating something very dry it feels a little hard to swallow esp when mouth is dry. today when i ate a very dry hamburger i noticed it. no choking-no problem with bun or any thing else. is this from mouth being dry? concern?

Dysphagia: It sounds like very early dysphagia. Would suggest mentioning it to your doc at first opportunity for a possible focused exam and detailed history. Until then, reducing bite size and keeping a log would help in deciding if progressing or not, as trending, progressing or not might make a big difference in the intensity and/or timing of work up.
