A member asked:

Can you treat non-specific urethritis without the same antibiotics for chlamydia? if yes, with what?and when treated, is nsu gone forever (cured, out of your system for good), or does it stay in your system, but just stops showing symptoms (treated)?

NGU treatment: NSU is the same as nongonococcal urethritis (NGU). The recommended antibiotics are the same as for chlamyida, either doxycycline for 7 days or a single dose of azithromycin. Once NGU has cleared up, it's gone; nothing stays "in your system".
