Moisturizer: Apply an eczema moisturizer and avoid fragrance in topical creams. Use the moisturizer several times per day. Use the cortisone only twice daily and avoid contact with the lips. Since the eczema is located above the lips, no medication should be applied directly to the lips to avoid this unwanted side effect of using topical cortisone. No immersion in water is suggested.
