Basics: The main goal in treating eczema is preserving the skin barrier against infection while appearance is secondary. Steroid creams are a mainstay of treatment & come in a variety of strengths. How potent yours is is not known from your listing. I would clarify this issue with the treating doc as well as the other skin care practices you should also use in this chronic illness.

Moisturizer : Moisturize the skin 6 to 8 times daily, with a fragrance free product for baby eczema. Many infants will improve with time, but some will have atopic conditions. Family history of allergic disease increases the likelihood of chronic eczema. Continue the steroid cream as prescribed but use the moisturizer first. Other non steroidal treatments are available if there is no or little improvement.
