No worries: That is not how a person catches COVID-19 unless she are the unluckiest person in the whole state. Wearing a fabric face mask in public is so you (the person wearing the mask) do not sneeze, cough, spit, etc., into the air close to other people. Your mask in public places is mainly to protect others from you. No worries.

COVID 19 concerns: The most concern is for healthcare workers - who are masked and working closely with COVID positive patients. The exterior of the mask can become contaminated. In that situation, one would not want to handle the exterior of the mask. Recommend that you ensure you have several fabric masks, so that you can rotate use. Masks should be regularly laundered as well. Take care.
