COVID-19 prevention: Showering after being out of the house probably doesn't have much effect in preventing COVID-19. It's more important to wash your hands with soap and water after returning home. If you were potentially heavily exposed, e.g. near someone coughing or with other symptoms, it might make sense to shower. If so, there's no special method. A routine shower and washing with soap will be just fine.

Work around COVID ?: If you work in a setting where there are ill people or you work around groups of other people, would leave your shoes at the door and put your clothes into the wash. As stated earlier - there isn't special way to wash (it's not like a preop scrub). Do make sure to take time to clean your hands well & to get under your nails. Plain of old hand soap is fine to use - nothing fancy needed.
