Not necessary: The virius is rarely carried on clothing nor transmitted by touching. This is an unnecessary precaution and will not reduce your risk of infection. It's far more important to wear a mask, avoid being near people who are not masked, and avoid being indoors with other people, especially with limited air circulation. Also keep hands away from face and wash hands or use disinfectant gel often.

COVID 19 concerns: If you have a job that brings you in close contact with COVID 19 positive people - such as a medical provider who is giving direct care than increasing level of precautions makes since. But I agree, that in general- showering & changing clothes each time you return home will probably not provide any significant added protection.
