Iron deficiency!: You aren't crazy! You probably have iron deficiency. People with iron deficiency develop "pica", which is a craving for eating dirt, sand, chalk, ice, etc. You are biologically driven by a craving that leads people to eat dirt as a way to increase their iron. So don't feel bad. Call your doctor and get tested for iron deficiency. Once your iron levels go up, the weird craving will go away!
