Antibody testing: Antibody testing can determine if a person has had an immune response to the virus currently (IgM) or in the past (IgG). Many people who never showed symptoms may have been infected and will show positive IgG. Because the study of SARS-CoV-2 is new, it is not known whether people can be reinfected or if once immune they cannot catch it again. Positive antibody test should not lead to carelessness.
