My hemmeroids are very painful could this be causing subconscious constipation?

Yes: If you have painful hemorrhoids, you certainly could be avoiding bowel movements - or putting them off! the problem here is that the more you delay, the more likely you are to become constipated. This, in turn, makes stool harder to pass - and hemorhoids are more likely to bleed or hurt. A good strategy is to eat plenty of fiber and drink plenty of water so you don't get constipated. Good luck.
