No: Hemorrhoids or swollen veins of the rectum, . Can swell, bleedi and cause pain or discomfort. They do not, however, cause constipation. Constipation is more commonly a dietary problem or related to medications you may be taking. Try fiber pills like metamucil and occ. Laxatives when needed. For persistent constipation or a change in bowel habits, do see a doctor for an exam. Peter wilk, m.

No: Hemorrhoid does not cause constipation but constipation can cause hemorrhoid.
