A member asked:

The lump is right above my breasts about 3 in in diameter. not painful. emergency room said it was possibly a reaction to some meds. but the doctor came in for only 30 seconds and never came closer than 3 ft from me. no tests, labs, etc. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can examine: A mass, lump, or bump found in a woman's breast should be examined by her primary care doctor. If cancer is suspected, special studies can be done. If the mass is found not to be cancer (for example, an infected skin cyst or some other noncancerous lump), her doctor can offer other helpful advice and treatment.
