Repeat testing/eval: Your chronic cough warrants further evaluation and testing. Most bronchitic infections are viral, but many are caused by bacterial infection. Consider a TB test, sputum culture, and pulmonary imaging. Pulmonary function testing may be helpful and avoid smoke exposure.
