If my bf has previously had gout in his foot & now is experiencing pain in the same foot but now in the arch of that foot could it possible be his gout flaring up or could it possibly be a bone spur that he needs to have looked at ?

Gout: Is well known as recurring, sometimes in same joint, some other times in different joints. Other conditions cannot be ruled out and the best reference would come from the doc who diagnosed him with the gout in the first place.
