Normal: Gout is a disease that ususally attacks one joint at a time. This can be contolled by the use of anti gout medication. I prefer utilizing Allopurinol on a daily basis for life. After the initial episodes, you should not have further attacks.

It is possible the: Medss you are taking are not working., or the dosage insufficient, your uric acid level should be below 6.0. When therapy is not working you need to be re-evaluated. I.E you may be an overproducer of urin acid but being treated as an underexcreter of it.....Follow up with your doctor.
