No test needed: It's common to have swelling/pain after a blood clot. It's called post-phlebitic syndrome. The veins in your leg got stretched out from the blood clot-- it's like underwear elastic that gets too stretchy and doesn't spring back. Ask your doctor about wearing compression hose, which helps squeeze the blood out of the swollen veins. Also, elevate your leg on a pillow so it's higher than your chest.
