Grief Delayed: I doubt that the coincidence of your ovary surgery is having any effect on your emotional response. Grief knows very few rules. Shock can delay grief. Anger may be an early emotion rather than sadness. You may be feeling relief if your loved one had been suffering. I believe strongly that in these intense times that we are gentle with ourselves and others around us.
