No.: While possibly related, true ovarian pain is not a reliable sign of conception. If you are having intercourse in the middle of your cycle, the best time for fertility, your ovaries will be producing several eggs, which emerge from cysts on the ovary. Any of these cysts can cause some short-lived pain as they burst normally. There is no pain caused by a sperm meeting up with an egg.
