After pelvic surgery: If you had major pelvic dissection, ovary removal, etc, the pelvis may be tender and i would recommend no intercourse for at least 4 weeks. If it was a small(ish) cyst or more minor, i would recommend 2 weeks and resume normal activity as long as you feel well.
