Sitz baths: For really bad hemorrhoids you need to decrease the inflammation and keep it clean. Keeping it clean involves sitz baths. Do this after every bowel movement. This is basically cleaning you bottom with warm water for a short period. It cleans and helps decrease inflammation. Do not sit on the toilet to read. If really bad see a proctologist, colorectal surgeon.
