A member asked:

It seems that i have an eye infection. my right eye, lower gland has a swollen ball. its been there for a month and been trying to treat it with tea, hot towel, cucmbers. these helped to shrink the swell. inside the eye is a white liquid. not sure ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chalazion: A pea sized lump in the lower eyelid that has been there for a month is probably a chalazion, an inflammation of one of the oil glands in the eyelid. If it does not respond to heat, it may need to be excised. There is not much else you can do by yourself.Best to check with an ophthalmologist who can advise you.
