A member asked:

Ive had a swollen lymph node in my groin for 3 months. had us which showed 3 nodes that were 1.0 x 0.6 cm, 1.4 x 0.3 cm, 0.8 x 0.4 cm. a month later they are still enlarged. can i ignore or should i get re examined?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Groan lymph nodes: Often groan lymph nodes are not an issue. When they are larger than 2cm we sometimes are concerned. I find groan lymph nodes very often on examinations. Or a few occasions I have found that they were associated with very serious conditions, but rarely. The answer for you is best addressed with an in-person examination, while your doctor sees the big picture.
