I have ibs-d and gastritis. i know i can't take nsaids but why do i get stabbing pain (lower left large intestine) with cramps when i take coated tylenol? the pain comes on 12 hrs later and lasts the whole day. every time i take it.

Abdominal pains : Probably best answered by your GI physician. It would not be unusual for a patient with a chronic GI problem to react adversely to certain pain medicines. Abdominal pain, however, is not a common side effect of Tylenol, unless related to the liver. I would suggest avoiding Tylenol and talking to your physician about how it might relate to your IBS.
