Cramps: Abdominal cramps lasting more than a few hours could be a sign of acute infection, "food poisoning," irritable bowel, or an inflammatory bowel disorder. Persistent cramps could be a sign of a parasite or other long-term infection/infestation. If there is fever, tenderness, loss of appetite, disappearance of bowel movements, or change in her appearance, call doctor now.
