Quick question: Did your son have an initial larger patch that had cigarette paper type of wrinkling that preceded the rest of the outbreak? We call this the Herald Patch. And is the distribution of the lesions on his back in a Christmas tree pattern? If so, that' a benign condition called pityriasis rosea. It can also be "tinea versicolor."
