Yes: if you have more than 3 UTI's in a 6 month period I would get it worked up. If a urologist is not available, then labs, urine analysis and a CT scan are a bare minimum. There are all kinds of things other than menopause that can cause repeat UTI's

Repeat UTI's ?'s: The female urethra has many folds which can harbor pockets of bacteria, and these pockets can open with activity or intercourse, re-infecting the bladder, causing symptoms. See a urologist for a dilation of the urethra, opening most of the pockets of bacteria, with antibiotic treatment with pyridium to reduce symptoms of burning, etc..
