More variables: An otherwise unexplained fever may be tested for COVID considering enough tests are available and a fever suffices as criteria for testing by local infectious disease authorities. Otherwise self quarantine, optimal hydration and letting your doc's office know would be recommended.

COVID 19: Suspicion for COVID 19 is higher if you have at least 2 of these symptoms: fever of at least 99.6, Cough, Shortness of breath, Chills, Shivering, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat or new loss of taste or smell. If you don't test, then you should quarantine. The CDC has provided guidelines for COVID 19 testing at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/hcp/clinical-criteria.html.
