Hydrogen peroxide: If you keep the area clean by applying hydrogen peroxide you may be able to kill enough germs for the site to self heal. After the peroxide the area should be dried, a hair dryer blowing at the site can avoid the pain of wiping it. If the finger swells and becomes red you need to contact her doc.
